This Privacy Policy explains how Ignis Wisper (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you visit our marketing site, register an ISP tenant, or use the Platform. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions .
1. Scope
This Policy covers platform-operator processing for account registration, authentication, billing, support, and service delivery. When you (an ISP tenant) process your own subscribers’ data inside your tenant, you are typically the data controller for that subscriber data; we act as a processor providing the software infrastructure.
2. Data we collect
Account and business data
- ISP / tenant name, company or trading name, subdomain
- Admin contact email and phone number
- Login credentials (stored hashed), password-change and setup status
- Plan, trial, billing, and onboarding fee records
Technical and usage data
- IP address, browser/device metadata, and security logs
- Application audit events needed for multitenant isolation and abuse prevention
- Cookies or local storage used for session authentication
Communications
- Emails and SMS related to account provisioning, password resets, billing, and operational alerts
- Support tickets and related correspondence
3. How we use data
- Create and administer your tenant and administrator accounts
- Deliver temporary credentials and security notifications by email and SMS
- Provide billing, plan entitlements, and platform features you enable
- Secure the Platform, prevent fraud, and enforce tenant isolation
- Improve reliability and customer support
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
4. Legal bases
Where applicable (including under Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019), we process personal data based on contract performance (providing the Service you request), legitimate interests (security, product improvement, and preventing abuse), consent where required (for certain optional communications), and legal obligation.
5. Sharing
We may share data with:
- Infrastructure and messaging providers (email, SMS, hosting) under contractual safeguards
- Payment providers when you configure or complete platform billing
- Professional advisers or authorities when legally required
We do not sell your personal data. Tenant subscriber data remains scoped to your tenant and is not used to market unrelated third-party products.
6. Retention
We retain account and billing records for as long as your tenant is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, dispute resolution, and legal retention. You may request deletion of administrator or tenant data subject to outstanding obligations and lawful retention needs.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access controls, and tenant-scoped authorization. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please protect your admin credentials and enable required password changes after provisioning.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to:
- Access or correct personal data we hold about you as an administrator
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request deletion where legally available
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (Kenya) or another competent authority
9. International transfers
Service providers may process data in other countries. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps consistent with applicable law to protect it.
10. Children
The Platform is intended for businesses and authorised adult operators, not for children.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Material changes may also be communicated through the Platform or email where appropriate.
